The staff at Brooklyn Bowl is impossibly nice.
Things I Learned from the Shark vs. Cat war
By velvetrobots:
- A lot of things about cats.
- Cats are incredible animals that have been revered since the Egyptians.
- It’s not that difficult to work with people with common interests.
- Shark people can be mean, but Cat people can always keep their class intact.
- 100,000 seconds takes a very long time.
- 100 seconds during a war takes longer.
- But, longest of all, is the calculation.
- Sharks mostly emphasize how “awesome” they are because they can kill.
- Cats mostly emphasize humor, cuteness, and cultural references. Cats are revered in human society. No one came blame us.
- Competition is fun.
I’m absolutely addicted to a new Tumblr feature. It should be ready next week!
Totally agree, with one exception: Cameras. Point-and-shoot cameras can take such a beating, and yet you often see people coddling them to the point that taking pictures is completely tedious. There’s nothing more satisfying than whipping out a completely scuffed digital camera from you back pocket that you’ve used to take thousands of photos. Sit on it, toss it in your purse, drop it out a car window, start recording a video and throw it at Marco, etc.A lot of people seem to have constant issues with their phones, computers, printers, hard drives, and other technology breaking or failing. None of my technology ever breaks at the rate that I see from other people. Even though it’s a bit presumptuous, my best guess is that I just treat my electronics better than most people.
